Resistance welding: The process of resistance welding is based on joining two metals by melting the material with a very strong electrical current for a short time through a very small surface area. Zirconia centering pins and positioners are used to guarantee a good positioning of the parts and to ensure the result meets the tolerances.

MIG / MAG welding: The welding process by arc under protective gas with consumable electrode is based on joining two metals by melting the material. The arc is made by an electrode composed of a continuous wire and the parts to be joined, being this protected from the surrounding atmosphere by gas. For this operation, silicon nitride protection nozzles are used.


Wire drawing: Wire drawing is the forming operation in which the section of a metal wire or rod is reduced by running it through a conical hole made by a tool called mandrel. Pulleys and pins in this type of industry should have anti-wear properties in which Alumina and Zirconium oxide are desirable materials.


In the paper industry, large sheets of paper are produced which are then cut by circular knives. The edge of the tool is subject to considerable wear during its lifetime and very hard materials are required to preserve the cutting properties. Materials such as Zirconium Oxide are suitable for this process as the cutting of the tool is extended over many cycles of use.


In the industry of electronic products, positioners and grippers are used to assemble components that require dielectric properties and resistance to wear resulting from the hardness of silicon parts in electronic circuits. Technical ceramics are the perfect material for positioners and grippers that are in contact with silicon.


In the field of agriculture abrasive chemicals are used for the pesticide. The nozzles in the sprayers must ensure the tolerance of the outlet hole for the correct flow. The technical ceramic is a great material for this type of applications since its resistance to abrasion guarantees the correct operation in this type of applications.


In the biomedical industry, inert materials are required to be biocompatible and not to react with the tissues of the human body. The technical ceramics such as Alumina do not react chemically to foreign agents and they are the best option for dental prosthesis and implants ensuring longevity once implanted in the human body.
